A recipe keeper with no 20-recipe limit and no account
Recipe app reviews keep repeating the same complaints: "Only 20 recipes?", "Asking to pay after months of free use" and "recently lost all my saved recipes". If you're building a recipe box for years, check these five things first.
Five things to check
- Is there a recipe limit? A 20- or 50-recipe cap turns into a paywall as your library grows.
- Does it need an account? Login and sync failures are the top reason people lose recipes.
- Can you back up to a file? You should be able to move your library to a new phone yourself.
- Can you edit imported recipes? If an ingredient is missed, you need to fix it.
- Are there ads during import? Long ads right before you cook are the most common annoyance.
How Recipot handles it
Recipot has no recipe limit, no locked features, no subscription and no account (it is supported by ads). Recipes stay on your phone and can be backed up to a file and restored. Every imported recipe is editable, and ads never appear during import, only after you save or when you open a recipe.
