How to build a hair care schedule around wash days

A hair care schedule, known in Brazil as a cronograma capilar, rotates hydration, nutrition and reconstruction treatments, usually over four weeks. The trick is not to add extra treatment days, but to place each step on a day you already wash your hair.

Five steps to build it

  • Write down the days you wash now, for example Monday and Thursday, or every other day.
  • Set the balance from your hair: more hydration if it is dry, more reconstruction if it is damaged.
  • Over 4 weeks, place one step on each wash day. Never put two reconstructions back to back.
  • If you skip a wash day, move that step to the next one and shift the rest along.
  • After 4 weeks, check how your hair feels and adjust the balance.

Example: washing twice a week

When your wash frequency changes

Changing how often you wash does not mean starting over. Re-place the remaining steps, in order, on your new wash days.

Let Tressly build it

Tressly is an Android app that places a 4-week schedule only on the wash days you pick and shifts later steps when you postpone one. Change your wash days and the rest of the plan is rebuilt while your journal stays.
