Can I see what I got wrong after a test?
Yes. The result screen shows your score, every missed question, the right answer and an explanation, and no ad covers it. Misses are also saved to your mistakes notebook.
What score do I need to pass the CDL permit test?
Federal rules (FMCSA) require at least 80% on each CDL knowledge test. The number of questions can vary by state, so check your state CDL manual.
Does it cover air brakes and hazmat?
Yes. Topics are General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Combination Vehicles, Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles and Triples, Passenger and School Bus.
If I close the app mid-test, do I lose my progress?
No. Sets and mock tests in progress are saved automatically. Tap Continue on the home screen.
Do I need an account or internet?
No account. Questions are built into the app, so you can practice offline.
Is it free?
Yes. It is free and supported by ads, which appear only between sets, never during a question or on your results.
Are these the real DMV test questions?
No. Questions are written from public CDL manual guidelines. Haulprep is a study aid and is not affiliated with FMCSA or any state DMV.
How many questions are in the mock test?
The General Knowledge mock test has 50 questions and each endorsement mock test has 25.
