Auto Clicker Interval Guide: What ms Is Right?

One setting decides most of your results with an auto clicker: the interval. Too long feels sluggish; too short and the target app starts dropping taps while your phone heats up. Starting from the basics (1000ms = 1 second), this guide covers recommended intervals by use case, what breaks when you go too fast, and where random intervals fit.

Getting a feel for the numbers

1000ms is one second. 100ms means 10 taps per second; 50ms means 20. For reference, a fast human finger manages roughly 6-8 taps per second — an interval of about 120-160ms.

What matters is how fast the target app can react. A button with a press animation needs time between taps, so shrinking the interval below that doesn't increase the number of taps that actually register.

Recommended intervals by use case

The right number varies per game, but these ranges are solid starting points. Begin here, and shorten gradually while the target app keeps up.

  • Clicker / idle game tapping: 50-100ms. Tapping is the whole point, so go short — but back off if the game lags.
  • Regular game buttons (attack, harvest, etc.): 100-300ms. Tune to the pace of the button's animation.
  • Anti-AFK / keeping a screen alive: 5,000-30,000ms (5-30 s). You don't need frequent taps, and long intervals are kind to battery and heat.
  • Multi-point routines with screen transitions: 300-1,000ms between points, to let loading and transition animations finish.

What goes wrong when the interval is too short

Push the interval too low and three things happen. First, the target app can't process the touch events and starts dropping them — more taps on paper, fewer registered in practice. Second, CPU load climbs, your phone gets hot, and the battery drains fast. Third, once the game starts stuttering, taps land at the wrong moments and multi-step routines fall apart.

So the goal isn't the shortest interval — it's the shortest interval where registered taps don't drop. Start generous, shorten step by step, and back off one notch when responses start lagging. When to use random intervals

Hours of taps at exactly the same interval form a mechanical pattern. Turning on random intervals adds a random offset between taps, making the timing look natural. It's useful when a perfectly steady rhythm is undesirable, or when the target app responds differently to strictly regular input.

The trade-off: the average interval wobbles by the random range, so for timing-critical routines (waiting out a screen transition, for example) a fixed interval works better. And for online games, remember that anti-macro terms of service apply regardless of whether your intervals are randomized.
