Fever log checklist: what to write down for the doctor
"When did the fever start? When did you last give medicine?" — hard questions to answer from memory after a sleepless night. Keep a few simple notes and you can give the doctor everything they need in a short appointment.
The basic checklist
You don't need every item perfectly. Whatever you can write down helps.

Worth getting right
- Write the active ingredient, not just the brand, to avoid doubling up on the same medicine
- Pair a reading before a dose with one after, so the effect is visible
- If there was a seizure, note when it started and how long it lasted (a seizure itself needs emergency care right away)
- With more than one child, keep each child's log separate
