Is the daily card really free?
Yes. You can draw your card of the day every day with no paywall, subscription or coins. The app is supported by ads — it simply doesn't force you to pay.
Does the card change if I reopen the app?
No. Today's card stays the same all day and a new one is available after the date changes. Each day is recorded separately — no "this app thinks everyday is Monday" moments.
Do I need an account? Can I lose my journal?
There's no login and no account. Your journal lives on your phone, and a file backup lets you restore it on another device.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Drawing, spreads, card meanings and the journal all work without a connection, so there's no network error screen.
Does it use AI?
No. There's no AI chatbot — Tarotday shows traditional upright and reversed keywords and advice for all 78 cards. It's one of the few tarot apps that doesn't use AI.
Can I turn reversed cards off?
Yes. Switch reversals off in settings and every card is drawn upright. The flip animation and dark mode have their own toggles.
How are ads handled?
Ads keep the app free, but the card of the day is never locked behind them.
