Does it really need only the microphone permission?
Yes. Recording requires only the microphone. Notifications are optional - allow them only if you want gentle reminders. Phone, contacts, and location permissions are never requested.
What happens to my recordings if I delete the app?
They stay. Recordings are saved to your device's shared storage (Recordings/Remo), so they survive app deletion and are accessible from any file manager.
Can it record with the screen off?
Yes. Background recording is supported. Recording continues while the screen is off or you use other apps, with pause and resume from the notification.
Which file formats are supported?
Compatible M4A and lossless WAV, with quality from compact 8kHz mono up to 44.1kHz stereo.
Does it record phone calls?
No. Remo is a pure voice recorder with no call recording. Staying out of your calls - and out of call-related permissions - is a core principle.
Does it need an internet connection?
