Left-to-right, right-to-left for Japanese manga, or a continuous vertical webtoon scroll. Pick what suits the title and pages turn that way.
Text and PDF too
txt files open with the encoding detected automatically (UTF-8, EUC-KR) so nothing comes out garbled. Adjust font size and line spacing, and choose dark, light or sepia. PDFs read in the same app.
Your place never disappears
The page you were on is saved automatically. Close the app, reboot the phone - reopen and you're right there. Finish a volume and the next file in the same folder is offered immediately.
Library and home screen widget
Everything you're reading gathers in your library with a progress percentage, and finished books get marked as complete. The home screen widget resumes in one tap, and optional morning or evening reading reminders are yours to switch on or off.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Dadok only reads files stored on your phone, so it is fully offline. No account and no connection are required - it behaves exactly the same in airplane mode.
Can I read zip comics without unzipping them?
Yes. Tap a zip or cbz file and the first page opens directly from the archive. No second copy eating your storage, and nothing to extract and delete afterwards.
Will I lose my reading position?
No. The page you were on is saved automatically, so closing the app or rebooting your phone changes nothing - reopen and you continue from there. The home screen widget gets you back in a single tap.
Does the app come with manga or novels included?
No. Dadok does not provide any content. It is a viewer for files you already own on your device. Please only open files you legitimately own or have the right to read.
Does it read PDFs?
Yes. A PDF viewer is built in, so PDFs sit alongside your comics and text files in the same app.
Does it support Japanese right-to-left reading?
Yes. You can choose left-to-right, right-to-left (Japanese style) or vertical webtoon scroll, and switch whenever a title reads better the other way.
Which image formats are supported?
jpg, png, gif, webp and avif. Pinch to zoom lets you blow up pages with small lettering as much as you need.
Are there ads while I read?
No. No ads are shown on the reading screen.
