Schulte table: how to play
A Schulte table is a grid, often 5×5, with the numbers 1 to 25 shuffled. You find and tap them in order from 1 as fast as you can. It is a popular focus exercise for keeping your eyes centered and scanning wide, and one round takes 30 to 60 seconds.
The rules
- Find the number 1 in the grid and tap it.
- Keep going in order: 2, 3, 4…
- Your time to the last number is your score.
- Tapping a wrong number adds time or costs points.
Tips for a faster time
Instead of jumping your eyes from number to number, rest your gaze near the center and spot the next number with your peripheral vision. It feels slow at first and gets easier with repetition. Compare times on the same grid size from day to day.
