FAQ

Is it really free, or will it ask me to pay after setup?

Every feature works from the first tap. There is no subscription that locks the analysis or reports; the app is supported by ads.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up or login, and your logs stay on your phone.

How does Bellywise find my trigger foods?

Pick a symptom and Bellywise counts the foods you ate in the 6 hours before each time it happened, then ranks them with the real numbers, like "before bloating 7 of 9 times". You can see exactly why a food is on the list.

What if my food is not in the database?

There is no food database to fight with. Type any name, home-cooked meals included, and pick recent items again as chips.

Will I lose my data when I change phones?

Not if you back up. Create a backup file in Settings and restore it on the new phone.

Can I share my diary with my doctor or dietitian?

Yes. Export a PDF report for any date range and share it in one tap, or export CSV.

What is the Bristol stool chart?

A 7-type scale for stool shape, from type 1 (hard lumps) to type 7 (watery). Types 3 and 4 are usually considered the normal range.

Does Bellywise diagnose IBS?

No. It is a self-tracking tool, not a medical device, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms.
